Costume Planning

by Alissa Marquess on October 27, 2010

Yesterday we sat down to discuss the boys Halloween costumes in detail.  Both instructed me on how to draw their vision.  I’m loving their costume choices.  James (5) plans to be a rainbow.  Leland (3)  at first wanted to be a pillow, “with a face!”  Then he wanted to be a house, “who has legs!” And then, “a house with a balloon on it!”  Then yesterday the idea evolved once again and he settled on being a balloon, “a red balloon! A ‘gradulations balloon!” he explained carefully.

SO…I’ll let you know how they turn out.  For Azalea I only have to make a kitty hat to go with a brown knitted outfit she already has.  Leland and James will also be pretty darn easy since they want to wear clothes they already have.  I just need to make a couple hats, purchase the appropriate balloon and cut out a cardboard rainbow shape for James to color.  Pictures to be posted after the big day.
