Creating Connection Not Perfection

by Alissa Marquess on November 21, 2011

The Holidays can be busy and exhausting, but what if they don’t have to be that way?  This year for the Holidays my motto is, “I want to create connection, not perfection.”Creating Connection Not Perfection

Like many of you creative types, each year my mind fills with fantastic ideas of what to make, bake and create for the holidays, but honestly, it’s WAY more than I can really take on.  Even if I could get done all the fun things that I want to do, I would have not time left to just enjoy being around my family.

So- I’m trying to take a good look at my priorities this year, to be a bit more realistic.  As I said, “connection not perfection.”

Do you want connection this holiday season?

Join me this week we’ll take a look at creating meaningful holidays:

Then next month I am excited to announce we will be sharing 24 days of Holiday Magic with the Creative Christmas Countdown.  Starting December first, everyday a new blogger will be sharing a fun and simple way to connect with your family.

Check back and start making meaningful holidays this year.  Remember: Connection not Perfection!

I love the thought. it’s so true that we creative types want to do everything but are not left with time to reap the fruit – that is sit back and enjoy.

Your series will help us lighten up and enjoy the festival and the holidays without feeling overwhelmed…!

Thank you for this :)

Thanks. I hope I can help! I really want to enjoy just being with my kids this year, and not be all stressed about making everything perfect.
