Sunny weather has turned our front yard into a permanent picnic zone for the past week.
Breakfast out front- sure!
Shall we sit and draw a bit? Ok, head to the picnic blanket!
Let’s water, and Azalea can sit on the blanket and watch.
I’ve been leaving our outdoor blanket in the yard because it welcomes us to come sit outside for a bit. It doesn’t make for a magazine worthy landscape, but it certainly is a friendly one. I suppose it’ll be coming in though, as it’s getting windy and cooler this week; at least cold weather makes it easier to be inside doing another round of once-a-month-cooking!
Are you getting outside each day?

Very inviting! We love picnics and have a picnic blanket that rolls up with a shoulder-carrying strap so we can quickly sling it over our shoulders. We keep it by the door to easily pick up on the way out. We use it for all sorts of things besides picnics too. Love it!
Would love if you came by to share this on our new weekly Outdoor Play linky on Friday!
It does look like a lovely sunny spot. We’re soaking up every scrap of sunshine outdoors at the moment. And even when it’s not warm, I’m trying to resist the urge to put the heater on and stay inside. Everyone’s just so much better for spending time outside.
Leaving a blanket to encourage everyone to get outside is a great idea!
What a sweet scene. So nice to finally get out. Thanks for stopping by my blog. So happy to discover yours. I’m going to explore now.
I love it. You’re right. Leaving the blanket out and set up does invite you outside.
It does, only you know I said it was getting cooler this week? Oops- forgot it outside last night and it got rained on! lol.
That is so fun! What a great idea to keep it out and let the picnic happen again and again. I think it looks like a photo for the cover of a magazine!
Hah! I hadn’t ever thought of my front yard as magazine worthy
Thanks!
Thanks for coming over to share on Outdoor Play!
Featured you on the outdoor play link up this week as one of my favorites! Thanks so much for sharing your idea.
