We’re getting ready to go out of town and my kids love to prepare for a trip. If you’ve got some travel planned as well, you might like this packing list so the kids can help out.
You can modify and print your own by clicking on the image below, then in Google docs go to “File” and click “Make a copy.”
Once you’ve got a copy you can delete or add items or rearrange if you like.
The original document includes:
- Short Sleeved Shirts
- Long Sleeved Shirts
- Pants
- Shorts
- Hat
- Swim Suit
- Pajamas
- Jacket
- Underwear
- Socks
- Shoes
- Sandals
- Water Bottle
- Backpack
- Blanket
- Lovey
- Toothbrush
- Books
- Dresses
- Skirts
For my kids, I printed out the lists and then wrote dots in the box to indicate how many they should pack of each item. If you think you’ll be using this repeatedly you could laminate it or slip it into a sheet protector and use dry erase markers to mark things off.
Happy travels! I’ll be pulling a few posts from the archives, but other than that won’t be posting much for a couple weeks. I’m working on a series of “10 Creative Minutes” ideas for when I get back!

My 4 year old LOVES to pack; I think this will help keep him on track! Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for posting this — it’s just what I wanted and it saved me lots of time.
