What do you want to become?

by Alissa Marquess on January 26, 2012

I want to become:

  • Someone who is creating things every day
  • Someone who is good at prioritizing and doing one thing at a time, online and off
  • Someone who is caught up with the laundry.  You know- who actually folds it all  AND puts it away. regularly.

I’m doing pretty well with the first, learning about the second and, well…the laundry.  I am definitely still in the beginning of the process of becoming the person who is done with laundry.

In part of an effort to really be present with my kids, I am making Thursdays a low media day in my household.

A quick bite of inspiration and off we go. Get off the computer and create the life you want to be living. One little bit at a time. Tiny acts of courage- this is how we Make Things Happen.

Me too, I often find myself sliding over to the computer for no particular reason. I need a low media day too. Thanks for the inspiration.

That’s an awesome quote and I agree 100%. I totally get the laundry bit. This Jan I cleaned out my entire cupboard and now I make it a daily practice to put away clothes neatly instead of just dumping them in! Small steps really do make all the difference.

I had the same problems with the laundry, then I discovered the miracle sorting solution. My husband, son, and my clothes are all separate. So when the hubby’s basket is full, one load of jeans, another the rest, it all goes to the same part of the closet. My sons basket all goes back to his room and it takes less thought and energy cus it is all going to the same place. I can actually sort my clothes cus the basket is all mine and I’m not fighting with the piles of clothes to go somewhere else. I hope this helps :)
