When a knitting pattern says “left front”

by Alissa Marquess on October 29, 2010

It means left as you are WEARING the garment.  Lesson learned the hard way.
I’m working on this really cute little sweater for Azalea from the Third Little Hand Knit Book, but I am a beginner knitter and, yeah, the first attempt at “left front” made a…I don’t know, but it was emphatically NOT the left front of this sweater.  Here’s the (totally adorable) picture of the sweater I’m making.

I'm knitting this in all white (size 0-6mos, about the only time 'all white' is a great plan for my kids)

The back is all finished and after some great help from Caroline down at Sedona Knit Wits (they are SO nice there) I am back on track, got my lefts and rights and sides all figured out and I will finish this thing before she can’t fit in it!
