You simply can’t do everything.

And you know what? That’s OK.  I promise.  I may need a reminder myself, but I know: Happiness does not lie at the end of “getting everything done.”

In fact, when we try to do everything we whizz right past the happy moments, and we wind up unsettled because we are not really doing anything with attention.

If we want to do anything well, we’ve got to make sometimes difficult choices.  We’ve got to choose what that anything is and let go of some of the everything.

Sometimes it feels like you HAVE TO do everything, like there’s nothing you can let go of.  It feels like it’s impossible because the amount of things to be done is so great and you are so small… But you can, you can right now, in THIS moment breathe in deep.  In this moment you are ok.

You are enough, and you will figure out what it is you need to let go of, because you can do anything.

In part of an effort to really be present with my kids, I am making Thursdays a low media day in my household.

A quick bite of inspiration and off we go. Get off the computer and create the life you want to be living. One little bit at a time. Tiny acts of courage- this is how we Make Things Happen.

Love the Chinese proverb: “House done, life over.” It is never done and that’s a good thing! Love your low media Thursdays idea!
